Lake San Cristobal

This beautiful small mountain lake, at over 9,000 feet elevation, is located in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado near the old mining town of Lake City.  It is Colorado's second-largest natural lake, formed roughly 700 years ago when the Slumgullion Earthflow dammed the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River.  This original pastel painting has been created on archival paper measuring 11x14 and has been framed to 18x21 overall.
